Jerome is a 11-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Jerome is a loveable child who seeks attention and affection. He will crawl to someone he wants to interact with or pull on their clothing. Jerome will maintain eye contact for a few seconds. Jerome enjoys being held and rocked. He likes to play on the floor or in bed, watch TV, listen to music, and sit on the porch. Jerome likes to play with a variety of toys, especially those that make sounds. He has a short attention span and will often move from one toy to the next. Jerome attends school and receives special classes to help him reach his full potential. He is learning to use a computer by touching the screen in the correct place. Jerome will require constant medical care. He is diagnosed with Chromosome-6 Deletion, Cerebral Palsy, and learns at a slower rate. It is unlikely that Jerome will be able to walk on his own, but he has made progress with using a gait trainer. He is able to pull himself up when holding onto furniture. Jerome uses a specialized wheelchair and bed. He is able to sit up with assistance in his chair. Jerome has little control over his head movement and he has to wear a helmet to protect his head from injury. Jerome's specialized bed provides him with ample room to play and he is able to roll around. Jerome is unable to swallow and is fed through a G-tube. Jerome needs a family who completely understands all of his medical needs and the services that he will require. Jerome will thrive in a loving home who will give him ample attention, stimulation, and exercise.
