Jesse is quiet and serene, and is quite the challenge. He is mostly shy and does not talk much, until you get to know him. He takes his time getting used to new people, and opens up only when he feels comfortable. Jesse is like any other growing boy. He loves to eat, and is not too picky. He likes just about anything. His favorite drink is the milk shakes from Jack-in-the-Box. He always enjoys going out for fast food, too. He likes riding bikes, eating hamburgers, ice cream, and playing video games. Jesse was born with only one kidney, but is physically healthy. He is very bonded to his sister Estella and brother Joe and has regular visits with them. He has trouble focusing on schoolwork and requires one on one help, especially in reading and mathematics. He will need some uninterrupted time daily to focus on schoolwork. Jesse requires a lot of attention. He craves it, and does mischief or acts silly to get someone to notice him. He likes to have things his way and does not like redirection. Jessie will need a strong family with lots of patience and experience that can help him assume responsibility for his actions. He will benefit greatly from a strong father figure to which he can bond, love and respect.
Joe and Jesse are currently together after time apart in different placements. They have re-established their strong bond and get along as well as most brothers do. They fight, play and argue with each other but remain adamant about staying together. Joe and Jesse have a sister, Estella, who they have regular contact with. It is imperative that these children continue to see each other. They need a family with lots of parenting experience and expertise. The family will need to set up therapy and medical services, be willing to try various medication regimes and even access hospitalization if necessary. Jesse needs a family with lots of parenting experience and expertise. High tolerance, reasonable expectations, patience, love, reassurance and close supervision will be required. At this time the plan is for Jesse and his brother Joe to be adopted together, with older sister Estella maintaining contact. Jesse needs a structured environment when he can feel stability. He needs a family that will love him and give him the affection and attention he so craves. He will do best with a family who can set up reasonable, age appropriate limits with consequences and can be enforced consistently. He will also benefit from a strong and loving male father figure.
