Jesse is a loving, compassionate, and humorous boy. He has a sweet personality and loves to be helpful. Jesse enjoys playing with cars, trucks, dinosaurs, and teddy bears. He is very good at counting and saving money. Jesse’s favorite places to go are to the park, church, and McDonald’s. He wants to be a police officer when he grows up. Jesse attends regular classes at school where extraneous stimuli can easily distract him. He is frequently challenged to stay on task, but once he is “into” an activity, he is fine. As a result of early neglect, Jesse is learning to master things from basic personal care to complex schoolwork. With the commitment and attention from his current foster family, Jesse continues to make progress in completing his goals, attitude, and especially his behavior. Jesse has done extremely well in his current home and hopes to find a loving and caring forever family. An adoptive family for Jesse would benefit from having experience working with special needs children. They will also need to assure that he continues therapy and counseling.
