She has a wonderfully positive outlook on life and is able to “go with the flow” and adapts easily to new situations and environments. Jessica describes herself as creative, funny, and a little bit mischievous. Her favorite things to do include reading, listening to music, and watching TV. She also enjoys riding her bike on a pretty day. Jessica is very observant and not afraid to voice her opinion when she feels strongly about something, but she is never disrespectful in doing so. She loves art and would like to become an art teacher. She is looking forward to going to college and earning her degree. Jessica attends mostly regular classes at school, although she is in an Honors English class and does receive tutoring to help her keep up math. She has terrific relationships with her teachers and peers at school. Counseling is helping Jessica deal with her feelings of separation and loss. An adoptive family for Jessica must be willing to provide her with lots of love and attention, as well being patient and committed to her. She will blossom in a home where there is a fair amount of structure and consistency, and where she knows from the beginning what is expected of her. Jessica is a typical teen when it comes to doing chores, but she will complete them with no problem. She is very proud that she can do her own laundry and cook for herself. Jessica will do well with other children in the home.
