Jessie is a 13-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Twelve year old Jessie is a spunky guy. He loves to run and play outdoors. When he is not playing outside, you will find him inside listening to music. His favorite is Christian music. Jessie has a very sweet side and it appears that music brings him a great deal of joy and contentment. He is very well mannered and is very greatful for everything he gets, even the little things. He is polite and respectful of adults. Jessie receives extra assistance at school for academics as well as behavior modification. His rate of learning is a bit slower than others his age and he has difficulty understanding the behavior of others and determining his own response to social situations. Jessie needs a forever home where he will be loved, feel safe and develop a sense of belonging. Ideally it would be great if he could be the only child in the family. Jessie needs a lot of encouragement and redirection so it would be best if his adoptive parents have significant experience interacting with children with similar needs. A structured environment with clear and consistent rules and expectations will be necessary.
