Jim is a 14-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Jim can be very shy until he feels comfortable with a person. At first, Jim looks away or down when talking to you, but once he gets to know you he can easily give you a smile. He is an energetic boy who likes to be involved in different things. In the home he enjoys swiming and horseplaying with the other children. Jim is excellent at drawing, he likes to come up with his own cartoon characters. He also likes to draw superheroes like Spiderman, Superman and his favorite Iron man. Jim enjoys watching action movies like Spiderman and Iron Man. Jim does well in school but struggles with math. He is exited about going to Middle School next school year because there will be more extracurricular activities that he can join. Jim has a difficult time with peer relationships but once he feels more comfortable he is able to develop relationships at school and at home. Jim has older siblings that he would like to keep in touch with at least by phone. Jim is very attached to his siblings and misses them a lot. The ideal family for Jim needs to model postitive behavior and set up limits with consequences that can be enforced consistently. Jim's family needs to help Jim with any school issue that he might have and help him in completing his homework. He can benefit from a family who has training or experience in managing challenging behaviors.
