Description
Jimmy has soft brown eyes and thick dark brown hair which he keeps cut short. Jimmy appears to be taller than he actually is because of his slim build and his perfect posture. Jimmy is an extremely friendly young man, but can be a little shy when he first meets people. Jimmy always has a smile on his face, and is consistently polite and soft spoken.
Jimmy loves to play and reportedly can’t get enough of it. Jimmy likes to play pool, swimming, ride his bike, play basketball, play video games and board games, skate, camp, working out and doing most anything out doors. Jimmy also has a great love for animals. He spent a great deal of his summer volunteering at a pet store.
Jimmy is very involved in ROTC and has stated in the past that he wants to join the military when he graduates from high school. Jimmy usually gets along very well with other kids.
Jimmy doesn’t like to study and he doesn’t seem to understand the need to try to learn in school. He needs parents who are willing to encourage him to work harder in school. He has the ability to learn but he doesn’t have the motivation.
Jimmy’s Family Service Worker says Jimmy’s self-esteem has improved a great deal since he entered foster care. Jimmy was depressed when he entered custody, but he seems to be trying very hard to cope with his present situation. Jimmy’s current foster mother states that he is a good boy and she has only had minor problems with him since he has been in her home. She also reports that she is working with Jimmy on his “independent living skills” and he is becoming much more self reliant. He washes his own clothes, cleans his room and helps out with other chores around the house. Jimmy’s former foster mother reported that Jimmy was a good child.
Jimmy is in need of a family that can provide him with patience, guidance, nurturing, and unconditional love. Jimmy has stated he would prefer a home with both a mother and father figure. While Jimmy prefers being disciplined by a female, he likes working with men. He enjoyed doing chores and working around the house with his former foster father. He likes doing yard work and helping repair things. Jimmy has also stated that he would prefer there being other kids in the home.
