Joe is a 15-year-old boy from Kentucky who is hoping to be adopted.
Joe (11/94) is a young man who when he was asked to describe himself used the terms "respectful, responsible, usually happy, polite and generous." Joe enjoys many activities, but his favorite is going swimming. When indoors, he likes to play video games, his favorite being Star Wars. He says he has seen all six of the Star Wars movies. He likes to watch movies, obviously, but also enjoys TV shows such as “Drake and Josh”. His favorite toys to play with are cars and his favorite board game is Monopoly. Joe is also an avid reader and has read all of the Harry Potter books. Though Joe did not mention this, it is said that he is very good with music and plays the piano very well. Other interests include football “because I can throw real good”, going out to restaurants, going shopping, eating, and sleeping. Joe likes to eat and says he likes “just about any kind of food except for sardines. I even like greens.” When asked to pick a favorite food he couldn’t, stating he likes it all. Joe considers himself to be a friendly person but says it is sometimes hard for him to initiate conversations. Once the discussion is started, however, he can definitely keep up his end. He is sometimes nervous about meeting new people. He admits that he is not typically an affectionate person. Joe has had a rough year that has involved several moves. These moves have, ultimately, resulted in a higher level of care. Joe can be a very polite young man who is generally easy to get along with when things are going well. Joe tends to be a perfectionist, believing he has to be perfect to be liked and loved. Sometimes he needs reassurance that he is loved despite his mistakes. Joe continues to want to be adopted and be a part of a family. Joe states that he would prefer to reside in the country as he enjoys the farm life. He may do best in a home wherein he is the only child; however, he states that he would like to be in a family where there are other children. Joe does require a lot of attention and patience. Most importantly, he needs an adoptive home that can provide him with structure, empathy, and unconditional love.Disclaimer
