Jonathan is a very handsome young man. He loves to play soccer and is a good player. Jonathan likes to get his own way and sometimes his choices are not the best. He makes decisions on the spur of the moment and for this reason may need additional structure and supervision. He does not always pick up on social cues well enough to keep himself safe or to avoid negative situations. Jonathan is familiar with a multi-cultural community and would do well in a community like this. Jonathan has been able to keep up with his multi-cultural heritage by being involved in tamale rolling prepared at Christmas time as well as other cultural activities where possible, including Cinco de Mayo and Juneteenth. Jonathan enjoys riding his bike (with supervision) and he really likes watching TV and playing video games. It can be a challenge to redirect him when he is engaged in these activities. He responds well to positive reinforcement, repeated directions, repeating his name during instruction or explanation, but nothing gets his attention better than limiting or eliminating his TV time and/or video game privileges. Jonathan needs help to keep him focused and on task and at times may appear anxious. For this reason a very special family who can meet his needs is being sought. He takes medication to aid with this.

Jonathan ideally needs a two-parent family with very experienced caregivers, who can be very consistent and be willing to deliver instructions slowly to make sure he understands what is asked of him. He is a very curious child.
