According to a former teacher, "the best thing about Jonathan is his individuality, he is true with who he is." He can be very energetic, funny, creative, and polite. Jonathan loves to be in charge and giving direction, even when he has no idea what he's talking about and that can be quite comical. He loves playing anything that involves a computer or video games. When attempting new challenges, Jonathan always tries to master it. Jonathan attends an alternative school to help him maintain appropriate and acceptable conduct. He has fallen behind, academically, and would benefit greatly from someone that will work with him individually. One of Jonathan's goals is to learn to acknowledge when he is having a behavioral episode and get himself somewhere to cool down. It is not so important what skills an adoptive family for Jonathan has, but that they are willing to learn the skills necessary to help him. His therapist will work with a prospective family before they meet Jonathan to ensure that they are able to work with his challenges and help him adjust to his new family. The adoptive family for Jonathan must be very patient and be able to always talk with him in a calm, nurturing manner. Above all, they must be dedicated to working with and helping Jonathan as much as possible.
