"Everyone tries to steal my dimples", stated Jondasia. This witty eight year old admits to being chatty, (I talk all the time), but this is what makes her fun. She is surprisingly mature and assertive for her age and very brave. Jondasia has had to learn to be brave. A medical condition has thrown her in the path of several doctors. Jondasia has learned to love and trust doctors instead of being afraid. "Doctors are cool and they are nice to kids", she states. Jondasia plans to become a doctor one day. She is partially paralyzed and must rely on a wheel chair to get around. Nothing stops Jondasia from activities that most other children enjoy. She getting around on her special bike and can swim with the best of them. Jondasia loves the Disney Channel, playing with dolls, coloring, and playing child's card games. Some of her favorite foods are corn dogs, pizza, and hamburgers. Jondasia attends a special school geared to meet her needs. She rides the school bus and is very self-sufficient. She loves small dogs, puppies and cats. Jondasia hopes her new family will have one for her to play with. A single or two parent family will need to have a wheelchair accessible home and comfortable with caring for a medically needy child.
