Jordan loves to read and enjoys visiting the library for new books. He also likes to play outside, go fishing, and play video games. Jordan has a terrific mind for remember scientific facts and is always eager to learn new ones. Jordan attends regular classes at school where he works hard to earn good grades. Math is the most challenging of his subjects, so he has to really push himself to excel. He has a personal aide with whom he spends one afternoon a week out in the community. Counseling is helping Jordan with compliance, social skills, and his feelings of loss and grief. Jordan really wants "to belong to someone" and have his own family. An adoptive family for him must be consistent in their discipline, praise, and nurturing. They must be able to set clear boundaries with appropriate consequences, and be clear about their expectations both of and for Jordan. They must understand the importance of not making promises they can't or don't intend to keep. He would like an active and fun-loving family that will guide him and help him build and maintain positive relationships with other kids.
