Jordan is a 14-year-old boy from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.

Latasha, Jordan, and Jamie are three great kids who need a loving and supportive home together. Latasha is described as beautiful, outgoing, fun, and loving. She is also insightful, determined, and protective of her brother and sister. Latasha has several friends and a good relationship with her foster family, especially her foster mom. She is very active and can be somewhat of a “tomboy”, although she seems to liking the boys a little more now. Latasha loves basketball, track, and football and hopes to play school sports. She also likes to shop, listen to music, watch TV, and hang out with her friends. Latasha has an incredible voice and loves singing in the choir almost as much as she likes to be an usher. She plays violin beautifully and it is soothing for her when she is upset. Latasha attends regular classes at school where she could be an honor roll student if she applied herself. One of her goals is to keep her grades up so she can become the surgeon she dreams of being. Latasha is working on having a more positive attitude without the teenage eye-rolling and mumbling. Jordan is a handsome, outgoing, athletic and funny boy. He has a lot of friends and a good relationship with his foster family. Jordan loves sports, especially football, but he also enjoys swimming, riding his bike, watching TV, and listening to music. He also likes to go to the mall where he loves to shop, but tends to choose clothing that is much too large. Jordan also likes to play computer and video games. Those who know Jordan well love his sense of humor and creative spirit. He isn’t sure what he wants to be when he grows up, but his case worker suggested that she could see him in the field of sports or performing arts. Jordan attends mainstream classes at school and supportive services allow him to be more compliant and academically successful. Through counseling he is learning coping skills and developing inner control. Future goals are to improve problem solving and decision making. Sweet, beautiful, friendly, likable, and easy going best describe Jamie. She is a very giving child who would spend her last dime on a friend, if they needed it. Jamie is also focused, goal-oriented, and confident. She also has a gift for singing, as well as playing the clarinet, and running. Jamie loves being active and is an excellent runner. Stepping, jumping rope, and playing dodge ball are some of the physical activities she most enjoys. Jamie also likes playing on the computer and watching Hannah Montana. She hopes to be a doctor or a singer when she grows up. Jamie attends regular classes at school where she should be earning straight A’s, but she is always on the A/B Honor Roll. She has a very active mind and thrives on reading. Jamie did so well on her End-Of-Grade tests that she is being tested for the Academically Gifted program. Through counseling, Jamie is making progress in using her coping skills and dealing with some responsibility issues. These children need an adoptive family who can provide a stable environment with love, structure, consistency, and overall guidance. They will need to work closely with their teachers and advocate for their needs so they can be the successful adults they hope for. They must be able to set clear limits with fair, but enforced, consequences. It is important that an adoptive family for Latasha, Jordan, and Jamie provide them with opportunities for extracurricular activities to help build their self-esteem, particularly for Jordan. They should also be open to allowing appropriate contact with birth family members.
