Jose is an active teen who enjoys being around his friends. He is very social and enjoys spending time with them during lunch time and after school. Jose enjoys playing video games and drawing when he's at home. Jose mentioned that he can draw different things that come to his mind or copy a drawing without having to trace it. He likes practicing and watching kickboxing and wrestling. He enjoys listening to rap and hip-hop music on his mp3 player. His foster parent stated that Jose is very respectful and that he has excellent manners. Jose has never been disrespectful with any adults. Jose likes to help around the house with different household chores. Jose likes being tidy and clean. He states that he "can't stand being dirty." Jose wants to finish High School and in the meantime he likes working on cars. He has enjoyed fixing cars since he was younger. Jose needs a family who is willing to accept him and will be committed to him. The adoptive family will need to be patient and stand by him no matter how challenging his behaviors may be. Jose needs to be nurtured, needs to know that he is loved, cared for and part of a family. He needs a family who is able to continue with services that he may need. They should be patient, encouraging and understanding in helping Jose to develop appropriate ways to interact with others when he is impatient. The family needs to keep an open relationship with Jose's siblings since that is very important to him.
