Jose is a shy youth and likes to keep to himself. He is able to entertain himself and enjoys having his own space. Jose loves to read and listen to music. He participates in church activities and is a very polite young man. A serious student, Jose participates in tutoring to help improve his reading skills. Although he can be easily distracted his teachers are quick to point out that he puts forth great effort to learn. He receives services to help him with feelings of sadness, anger and frustration. He is learning new coping strategies and working on identity issues and appropriate boundaries.

Jose needs a patient, loving family to provide a consistent, secure environment where he can continue to learn to feel accepted, safe and loved. He need continued support and encouragement to accomplish his goals. It is important for Jose to be able to have his own room. A home where he could be the only child, or youngest child would be ideal. Jose has a younger brother who is not a part of this adoption. He would like a family that will be open to continued contact after he is adopted.
