Jose is, for the most part a very happy and energetic child who enjoys sports, fishing and is enthusiastic about going on outings whenever he gets the chance. He likes to stay busy and produces A's (and a few B's) at school. In the school setting Jose combines this strong academic performance with some periodically challenging behaviors. Jose excels in Math, English, PE, Science and Social Studies as well as sports. Jose struggles at times in the public school setting. Jose has displayed some physical and emotional spontanaity, and some feelings of intense sadness. There are times when Jose doesn't like being told what to do. He earnestly desires a forever family and needs guidance as he prepares for the future.

Jose will benefit from a family with a strong "father-figure" and an understanding mother who is comitted to working with him and directing his energy in a positive way. He does respond to positive redirection but needs a loving family that authentically believes in him and can help develop his leadership qualities.
