Joseph is a 12-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Joseph is very inquisitive, affectionate, and spontaneous. He has a great personality, is thoughtful, and loves to laugh. He is ready to show all of his wonderful characteristics to a family who will accept him. Joseph has many positive attributes. He is learning how to manage his emotions and behaviors and continues to show improvement. Joseph enjoys school. At times, he needs to be challenged to maintain his attention. He does tend to become irritable when things don't go as he planned or when he is having difficulty with a task. However, he can generally be redirected with some ease. Although Joseph doesn't participate in extracurricular activities at school, he does enjoy playing outside. Joseph is well-mannered, friendly, and respectful. He is quick to love and wants to fit in.
Joseph is very aware of his situation and wants nothing more than to be part of a family. It is important to him for his family to make him feel secure, accepted, and loved unconditionally. Joseph wishes for a family who is patient, strict, and will offer him guidance. Joseph also needs a family who will provide him with close supervision. The desired parents will encourage positive behavior and redirection when needed. His family should praise him for positive behaviors, as he responds very well to this. Joseph requires unconditional support and encouragement. Joseph wants a family who is patient and who is able to provide him with structure in his day to day living. He needs a family who will seek out and attend supportive services and medical appointments with him.
