Joshua Tyler is a 16-year-old boy from Kentucky who is hoping to be adopted.

Joshua Tyler, or JT (9/93), as he likes to be called, dreams of having a forever family – a place to belong. JT might do best if placed with an adoptive family who already has some parenting experience. He needs parents with patience, perseverance, and lots of love to give. JT is willing to do his part to make an adoption work and he deserves the chance to have a forever family. JT is a handsome young boy. He is very talkative and funny. He is also very active and sometimes has difficulty maintaining attention and focus. JT is sensitive and caring. He can be emotional. JT says he likes everything about himself, except his anger, but he is practicing better coping skills and improving the way he handles frustration. JT does best in a small class where he can get individualized attention, guidance, and help staying organized and on task. He works hard in school - especially at math and reading. JT was a "library champion" for reading 10 books over the summer. He also loves recess where he enjoys playing football, soccer, and dodge ball. JT enjoys summer break and would like to take a vacation to the beach. He would also like to have a puppy. JT would choose a happy meal from McDonalds if you asked him what he wanted to eat. Indoors, he enjoys playing board games like Yatzee, card games like Pokemon, and electronic games on Game Boy. He also enjoys playing with match box cars and watching cartoons on TV. JT understands the basic components of adoption. He understands that it is in his best interest to have a family that can love, care, and provide for his everyday needs. He knows that foster care is only temporary. JT is eager to have an adoptive family. He will bring much excitement to his new family as he is very imaginative, quick witted, and fun. Please consider what adoption could mean for this terrific young boy.
