Joshua is a 12-year-old boy from Arizona who is hoping to be adopted.

Joshua is a nine year old socially charming boy with a very caring heart who longs for a family filled with love and lots of hugs. He came into care seven years ago. Joshua enjoys going many places with new adventures and has fun camping out in his room, where he'd love to play with an older brother or two. Siblings who are sixteen or older would be best. Joshua dreams of a mom and a dad that are great communicators, who can talk with him and his teachers about how he is doing, and give him lots of encouragement when he makes good choices. Because Joshua has a learning disability, his parents will have to very committed to helping him succeed in school. Understanding Josh's ability to learn by listening and doing (verbal and kinesthetic learning) and meeting this need will help him a lot. Joshua needs a family that can give him some structure, and he wants a family that is active in their church, so that he can do things like sing in the children's choir and go to Sunday school. Experience with fostering or adopting would be a plus, and it is very important to Joshua to maintain his relationships with his sisters (who are currently in care) and his current foster family.
