Joshua is an 8-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Joshua is an independent, outgoing happy child. Joshua exhibits age appropriate stranger awareness. He has increased activity level and can be difficult with the other children on the playground. He has had difficulty in adjusting to the academic environment. He plays well by himself and is able to entertain himself. He enjoys practicing his letters and coloring. Joshua has a healthy appetite and he especially likes pancakes. He needs direction and help to improve his personal care as well as how to care for his belongings like the presents and gifts he enjoys. He likes to play video games.

Marcus and Joshua are currently placed together. They experience typical sibling periods of difficulties getting along. Marcus has begun standing up for himself. Marcus and Joshua get along fairly well with each other and are accustomed to sharing a room. Marcus does well in school and has made the honor roll. He enjoys doing physical activities and arts and crafts. Joshua is an endearing child who is outgoing and independent. He plays well by himself and enjoys entertaining himself. The children would benefit from parents who will be able to devote time and effort in redefining and modeling behaviors. The family should be prepared to invest heavily in the areas of educational success and to invest time in reassuring that the children receive the special help that they need. An outgoing and active individual would be preferable as they enjoy being involved in recreational and athletic activities. Visit us at the TARE Gallery.

Joshua would benefit from an adoptive family with strong parents who will focus on reinforcing appropriate behavior with Joshua. The parents for Joshua should be patient and able to provide appropriate guidance and structure for him. He needs a family who is able to accept him and his sibling.
