Josiah is very reactive to his environment and loves to smile and laugh. Josiah loves the cartoon character Diego. He watches this cartoon everyday, which makes him very happy. Josiah also has toys, stickers, bedding, and a stuffed bear all related to the Diego cartoon. He loves attention and responds through sounds and smiles to people with whom he is familiar. Josiah loves playing with toys that light up and bright colors are his favorite. He also gets a lot of pleasure from having toys that make noises and these tend to keep him smiling. Josiah is a very loveable and happy child and he needs loving and caring people around him. Josiah is a young boy with several medical conditions. He has spina bifida, cortical blindness, chronic bronchitis, and digestive and respiratory problems. Josiah is also feed through a G-button. He is not able to walk and he uses a wheelchair to get around. He can lift his head and move his arms and he is able to roll himself over. Josiah's development level is in the infant stages. Josiah needs a family who is willing and able to make a long term commitment to provide for his needs. His family needs to be trained in handling children who are physically and developmentally challenged. Josiah also needs a very loving and nurturing family who will always be there for him and will help him to grow and develop to the best of his ability.
