Juan is a handsome boy who is quiet and reserved. It takes time for him to warm up to someone, but once he does, he is very pleasant to be around. He is very sweet and caring and enjoys spending time with his caregivers. Juan loves to be outside. He likes to fish and loves anyone who will fish with him. After working up an appetite, he likes to eat pizza. Juan is easily frustrated and is working on controlling his anger. He is also working on being more of a leader. He is able to complete his chores, although at times he may need several prompts to get started. Juan is currently being seen by his therapist on a weekly basis to address his emotions and behaviors. Academically, Juan's emotional issues have created developmental delays in his educational advancement and his school provides him with extra educational services.

Juan will do well in a family with a strong male role model. He also needs a family that is going to provide a lot of structure and routine. The family should have set rules and guidelines for the home and be consistent with them. Juan's new family will also need to advocate for him to make sure he is getting services he needs. Juan has three sisters who are not a part of this adoption. He wants a family that will help him to remain in contact with them as they all have a strong bond with each other.
