Justin is almost 9-years-old. Here’s what he would like you to know about him. My Favorite Things: Animals, especially cats, dogs, and mice. Math is my favorite subject at school, but I also like art and getting to make things with clay. Green is my favorite color and my favorite food is salad. Things I Don't Like: Barbies, being hit, peas, and tomatoes. Activities I Enjoy: Swimming, biking, making snowmen, working on cars, playing card games, and going to restaurants. I also like building things and people tell me that I’m really good at it. What I Want in a family: I want to be able to visit my brother and sister who live with my father. I want a family who will let me make stuff. I want a family who will listen to me, hear what I have to say, and believe in me. I sometimes hurt myself or want to hurt myself, and I want a family who can stop me from doing that. What We Want You To Know AboutJUSTIN: Justin has a great sense of humor. He loves to working with his hands and playing silly card games. He is currently in a residential program to help him learn to keep himself and others safe. In school, he is currently on an Indiviualized Education Plan (IEP) as he has learning challenges. What We Are Seeking In A Family For JUSTIN: Since Justin is currently in a residential program, he needs parents who can work cooperatively with his school, therapists, and others while he completes his program, and who can then help him transition slowly into their home. He needs parents who are familiar with the effects of neglect and abuse on children; willing to participate in any recommended trainings and therapy sessions; not afraid to seek outside help if and when they need it; and able to provide him with the consistency, routine, and structure he needs
