Kaitlyn is quite talkative and will not hesitate to tell you her thoughts on life and about herself. She is in the 9th grade ('08-'09 school year) and says that she scores high on tests, but could improve on schoolwork. She does not have a favorite teacher, but does enjoy Math classes and is considering a career in forensics when she gets older. She is active and likes to go do things such as roller skating or shopping. Though this child is thin, she has an appreciation for food. She is learning to cook more and so far can manage eggs, sausage, mozzarella sticks, grilled cheese sandwiches, and fried chicken. Kaitlyn also likes music and likes rap and R&B music. Some of her favorite artists are Mary J. Blige, Lil'Wayne, and Beyonce. Kaitlyn attended a performing arts center when she was younger and participated in ballet, jazz and hip hop dance classes. She says she would take these classes again, but she also wants to learn boxing. Kaitlyn also likes animals. Kaitlyn is a model of resilience and she is hopeful that she will find the right family to help her deal with the many losses she has experienced in her short life. She prefers to be an only child in her adoptive family and does not have a preference for a mother, a father, or both as long as they both like her.
