Kayla is a shy, kind, and helpful girl with a pleasant smile. While it generally takes her awhile to feel comfortable with new people, Kayla is quite likable and thoughtful. She enjoys playing basketball, swimming, and going to the YMCA. Kayla loves horses and collects horse figurines. She also likes working word search puzzles and going to the beach. Kayla is enrolled in resource classes for math and reading. Her personal academic plan allows her to be as successful as possible in school. It is imperative that Kayla be supervised with other children. Through counseling she continues to work and make progress with issues from past experiences. She has made a great deal of progress, but will need to continue for some time. Kayla will do best with a single adoptive mother with no other children or older girls in the home. She needs an adoptive family who can deal openly and honestly with her issues and commit to taking her to weekly therapy. Kayla requires more supervision than the usual teenage girl and her adoptive parents must arrange for this. They should also be prepared to advocate for her in the school system.
