Kayla is a 13-year-old girl from California who is hoping to be adopted.Anyone who knows Kayla would feel that their life is enriched after interacting with her. Kayla could naturally exude her compassion and love for life, and her energy is infectious. Kayla has displayed resilience against the challenges that she has to endure through life and she is making progress in school. Kayla struggles with her ability to verbally communicate, but can get her needs met through the look in her eyes and the grasp of her hands. Kayla is diagnosed with birth asphyxia and Cerebral Palsy; and is dependent on a G-tube. She needs a family who is committed to advocating for all of her needs and who has a good support network to help provide for a safe and stable home environment.
