Kelley is a 17-year-old girl from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.
Kelley is a friendly, caring, and loyal person. She enjoys helping people out in whatever ways she can. Kelley is happy, joyous, loving, and nurturing. Her social worker likes that she doesn't complain, doesn't get angry, and likes to talk. Kelley enjoys solving puzzle and word games, making jewelry and other crafts, and taking care of her dog. She thinks she’d like to work in a daycare or fix hair as a career path. Kelley has recently moved into the Occupational Course of Study at school and will earn a high school diploma. This has been a frustrating challenge for her, but her team of caregivers believe she will succeed. Kelley has a positive outlook and rarely gets angry or upset, but when she does she will apologize after processing her feelings. Change is extremely difficult for her, so explaining what she can expect is always a positive thing for her. Speech therapy has helped Kelley work on improving her verbal communication skills. Kelley is a likable young girl who has experienced multiple losses in her life. An adoptive family for Kelley must understand her medical, emotional, and psychological needs and be willing to make sure they are met. They will need to be able to help Kelley live as independently as she can within the limits of her capacity and be advocates for her for the rest of her life.Agency Child ID: NC01642958
