Kenneth is an 8-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Kenneth is a sweet, loveable and easy going youth. He can be a shy child who is easy to please. Those who know him consistently describe him as a good boy who "likes people and plays well with other children". Kenneth loves animals. His favorite toys are stuffed animals, balls and anything that involves playing outside. He likes to listen to music and watch cartoons. Like most boys, he loves sports. Give him a hamburger or pizza and he's happy! Kenneth does have some trouble learning new things and is currently in life skills classes to aid with basic life skills. He is diagnosed with Autsim Spectrum Disorder and is deaf in his right ear. He is receiving many services through school, including include speech therapy to help his communication skills. Kenneth needs a strong and patient family who is familiar with Autism and his special needs. This family will need to be stable and have a lot of structure in the home so Kenneth can predict what is going to happen next. The family will need to advocate for Kenneth in a school and social settings as Kenneth cannot do this for himself. He needs a family who will be able to devote a lot of time and attention to him and his needs. The family needs to be open to continuing contact with Kenneth's favorite person, his grandmother, who has maintained frequent contact with him.
