Here’s Kodi! Kodi Cheyenne Barnes was born on Halloween in 1993. She is a bit of a tomboy for a girl of 15 and she has a very engaging smile. Despite the fact that Kodi has experienced numerous disappointments and a life filled with turmoil, she does very well one on one. Kodi performs well academically. She does have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to assist her in academic success. She loves music and playing her guitar. She is artistic and adventurous. She writes in her journal when she needs quiet time to compose herself. Kodi does get vocal when angry. However, she is working on her anger and is learning to trust. Kodi is afraid to trust, especially adults. She has survived major losses in her short lifetime. She continues to work through her loss and grief issues in therapy. Despite the fact that Kodi is quiet and keeps to herself a great deal, she is considered a loyal friend. She has a great big heart and wears her feelings on her sleeve. Kodi loves stories about dragons. She collects wolves. Kodi also likes horses, dogs and cats, music, and especially playing her electric guitar. In fact, Kodi hopes to be a musician one day. She has experienced multiple placements since entering care for the first time, reportedly at age 3 or 4. She would do well in a family where there are no small children. Kodi would flourish best in a family where she is the main focus.
