As a result of recent events, her grades have begun to slip a bit and she needs motivation to get them back on track. Counseling is helping her with her feelings of loss and grief and previous experiences. Demetrice is a tall, handsome, and fun-loving jokester. He can be quite silly and goofy and loves to make people laugh. Demetrice has a terrific personality and gets along well with his brother and sister, foster family, and with other kids at school. Demetrice is very energetic and loves to horseplay and play sports. His favorites are basketball and football and he would like to play professionally in NFL someday. Demetrice attends regular classes at school where he earns average grades. Counseling is helping him work through his feelings of grief and loss and the effect of previous experiences, and he is doing quite well with it. Deontra is a handsome, active, and funny boy who also enjoys making people smile and laugh. He has many friends and gets along great with his siblings, his foster family, and kids at school. Together with his brother, they are a real comedy team who enjoy bringing laughter to others. He loves to play sports, with his favorite being basketball. Deontra also likes to watch TV, play video games, and go out to eat. He attends regular classes at school where a personal education plan ensures that he receives the assistance he needs to be successful. Counseling is helping Deontra deal with his feelings from previous experiences, as well as loss and grief. The ideal adoptive family for Laqueena, Demetrice, and Deontra would be a two-parent couple who is nurturing and outgoing. A single parent would need a great deal of support. Laqueena, Demetrice, and Deontra need a highly structured environment with clear expectations and boundaries. The adoptive parents should have knowledge of grief and loss, as well as other issues that bring children into foster care. The children declare that they each want their own bedrooms, as Demetrice and Deontra currently share and feel the need for some privacy. They should have some contact with older birth siblings and continued visits and contact with their current foster mom.
