Larry is a very caring teen with a good sense of humor. He enjoys buying other people gifts to show them that he cares. Larry is fond of the outdoors and animals and is always ready for a game of baseball. Other favorite pastimes include arts and crafts projects. Larry is a perfectionist, so although he is doing fine academically, he can easily become frustrated when he makes any mistakes. Larry is rather shy when meeting new people and has difficulty opening up and sharing his feelings and ideas. He would truly like adoptive parents who will take the time to share with him, and to listen and talk with him. This will help Larry learn that he can trust them. Larry would also enjoy participating in outdoor activities with his adoptive family.
The best family for Larry would be a loving, patient and understanding couple, with or without other children. The parents should be consistent in their parenting and stick to the rules they set for Larry. They will need to be experienced enough to manage Larry's outbursts. Their guidance and direction in developing and maintaining peer relationships would also be of great benefit to Larry. Above all, Larry needs stability in his life and the adoptive parents must be willing to commit to Larry and never give up on him. The family should also be willing to allow Larry to maintain his current relationship with his grandmother. Larry has Cystic Fibrosis, so a family knowledgeable about its effects would be beneficial.
