Lyric is a 14-year-old girl from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Lyric is a spirited youth who enjoys listening to music and being on the go whether it's shopping, going to the movies, or just running errands around town. She is very social and likes to make friends wherever she goes. At times she needs to be reminded to focus on herself and not get involved with other peoples drama. Lyric is helpful around the house and will often do extra chores to earn extra allowance without being told to do so. Lyric does well in school and is usually on the A/B Honor roll. She receives extra assistance in school to help her with assignments and enjoys receiving praise for her academic accomplishments. When Lyric becomes upset or frustrated she can become argumentative with her caregivers, however, she is easily redirected. She is learning to have discussions and conversations with others about her likes and dislikes to avoid these arguments. Lyric is also working on appropriate boundaries with others. Lyric will do best in a loving, caring and nurturing family. She will need parents who will be there to listen to her, love her and guide her through her most important years. She will do best in a family who communicates well with each other so they may set goals and expectations together. A family that has younger children in the home would be ideal, as she likes to have the big sister role. Lyric really wants a family to call her own and parents to call her their daughter.
