Marcus is a 15-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Marcus enjoys physical activities and doing arts and crafts. He is physically talented and enjoys doing flips. He has expressed the desire to be in gymnastics. Marcus has been know to "stand his ground" at school resulting in disciplinary action. Marcus is very dependent and requires direction for daily tasks. He needs help and support on how to care for his personal belongings. At school, Marcus receives assistance for his reading and language arts classes. He has made tremendous progress and has managed to be on the honor roll.
Marcus and Joshua are currently placed together. They experience typical sibling periods of difficulties getting along. Marcus has begun standing up for himself. Marcus and Joshua get along fairly well with each other and are accustomed to sharing a room. Marcus does well in school and has made the honor roll. He enjoys doing physical activities and arts and crafts. Joshua is an endearing child who is outgoing and independent. He plays well by himself and enjoys entertaining himself. The children would benefit from parents who will be able to devote time and effort in redefining and modeling behaviors. The family should be prepared to invest heavily in the areas of educational success and to invest time in reassuring that the children receive the special help that they need.
