Photolisting Profile for Martavis
Martavis is a 5-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Martavis likes to be helpful to his foster mother. He makes friends easily and is social. He likes to color, play with trucks, play with his Spiderman or Hulk, and play outside. He is generally easy to please. He can be stubborn but wait a minute and he is easy again. He gives and receives affection. He also likes to tell stories, in fact he and his brothers are very creative with their facts. Martavis is in Kindergarten and doing well. His teacher says she is very impressed with him and he is a joy in class. Martavis is proud of his school work and made the honor roll. He is motivated to learn. He can become frustrated and does not yet know how to handle that emotion, the results have been quite intense. He is working on his coping skills. Martavis lost his front teeth so his speech has been affected. He will need to continue speech therapy. Martavis is easy and difficult, soft and hard and through it all he tries. He responds to consequences and the caring team around him.
Queontavis, Martavis and Datavis don't just have similar names they have common strengths. All 3 boys are polite and respectful to adults with "yes mam, and "no mams". All 3 respond well to structure and discipline, once you allow them to release a little steam of course. They make friends easily and like social interaction. On the other hand they can all three be very determined, especially with each other and require a line of sight supervision at all times. They have flourished with their current support system. Their new family will need to continue line of sight supervision along with therapy, medication and teamwork with their school. Changes need to be handled in small increments with lots of preparation. They will not do well with children their age or younger and if they have older siblings at least a 10 year gap would be preferred. They do not need to be around pets of any kind. These brothers have it all and just need a family willing to take life in small, steady steps to release their happy hearts. Visit us at the TARE Gallery.
The family for Martavis and his siblings will need to have the support of their school district, therapist, and friends. These children can flourish with the team effort of the adults involved in their life, but will easily challenge parents who do not have professional and social support.
