Mary, born February 1998 is in the third grade. She is a delightful child. She is an adorable child. It is Mary's nature to be quiet and calm. She is petite and enjoys dressing up. She is your typical little girl who enjoys playing with dolls and with other children her age. She enjoys playing on the computer. For the last couple of years she has been a cheerleader and she plans on continuing this activity this fall. She likes to sing and dance at church. Mary was in the choir at one time. Mary needs help focusing on her work at school. For the 2007-08 school year she is in the third grade and is making fair grades. She is making progress in her receptive and expressive language skills as her speech has really improved over the last few years. Mary is a loving child. She needs encouragement and once she feels accepted, she is responsive to hugs. She needs love, structure and guidance. She responds well to positive reinforcement rather than being "gotten on to". Mary struggles expressing her emotions as she has a real need to feel accepted and loved. She needs a permanent home where she can feel a sense of belonging as a valued member of the family.
