His therapist reports that Jimmy needs a family that will understand his past and be patient with him while developing a trusting relationship. Jimmy needs a family that will commit to him and understand that he has experienced a great deal of loss in his life. A family will need to be supportive of him and help him process those losses by participating in counseling. Jimmy needs a family that will provide him with structure and consistency as well as involve him in activities in the community. Jimmy needs a family to be patient with him and work to understand the support he needs due to his disability.
