Matthew is an extremely bright young man who wants to be adopted and belong to a committed, loving family. He is fun loving and very kindhearted. Matthew is a very caring and compassionate child who stands up for the rights of his classmates if they are being bullied by letting other people know and getting the help they need. He is always caring about the children in his group home and he asks for things for them as well. He enjoys building Star Wars things with Legos and also enjoys all the Star War films. He wants to work in an aquarium when he grows up. He likes going to the aquarium and he says that the aquarium calms him. Adults enjoy talking with Matthew. He has contact with siblings and relatives and could benefit from a family who would encourage maintaining those family ties. Matthew is learning appropriate boundaries and he thrives with individual time and attention. He loves pets such as his pet turtles, and would like to have a snake. He also went to Big Bear with a church camp and he liked riding horses. He loves to eat and to read science fiction. He also likes to surf historical websites and watch TV, and he talks about various historical Caesars and gladiators that he has learned about. He even dressed as one for a school project and the photo is in his school yearbook. Matthew enjoys doing research and has a very curious mind. He is not fond of sport activities. Instead he enjoys computers games and going to the movies. He laughs a lot and he likes to play ” knock knock” games. He has a great memory and he can recite information and numbers about various animals. Matthew is very spiritual. He stated that he previously enjoyed going to church with with his caregivers. He is currently active with the faith based school activities. Matthew has a strong desire to be adopted and to be a part of a family that can keep promises.
