Mia is a happy child. She likes to go outside and take walks and loves to receive attention from others, especially her caregivers and visitors. She likes to do special things for visitors like dress up and show them her room. Mia likes school and is bonded to her teacher. Mia learns at a slower rate but is doing well in school. Mia is using her verbal skills although she does rely on sign language some. She enjoys being read to and playing games with peers. Arts and crafts and listening to music are also among her favorite activities. She interacts well with others. Mia has Down Syndrome. She requires assistance completing daily hygiene routines. Mia will function best in a home with few or no other children due to her need for personal attention. Constant supervision is required for her physical needs and behavioral issues. She has older siblings who have been adopted by relatives. Her family needs to provided opportunities to maintain contact.
