Michael is a 14-year-old boy from Colorado who is hoping to be adopted.

Meet Michael, a wonderfully engaging child who loves being around other people! He is an active boy who enjoys to skateboard, toss a ball around, and ride his bike. When Michael is indoors, you can often find him watching "Animal Planet" because Michael loves being around animals. He especially enjoys big dogs! Michael is also a big fan of the Denver Broncos and hopes to get to watch them in person one day! Michael would like to be a police officer when he grows up. According to his caretakers, Michael is a helpful child who likes working on household projects, reading and watching movies. In fact, the tool set he was given as a Christmas gift was quickly used to build a home made ramp for his bike and skateboard. Michael attends weekly therapy, which will need to continue after placement. Michael attends the 5th grade. He is behind academically due to irregular school attendance, but is working hard to catch up. Michael will thrive with a family who can provide structure, nurturance and lots of attention. Michael says, "I am looking for a mom and a dad, or just a dad who can take care of me. I need a family who can be really patient with me, and give me chance to be successful." All families will be considered. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related expenses.
