Although an introvert, he is active and enjoys sporting activities and group recreation. His favorite food consists of pizza and Italian dishes. A participant in a special education program, Michael says he enjoys math the most, even if he does have occasional problems understanding the material. He is a good student, and tries to do well. He is improving his study habits and needs daily quiet time alone dedicated to homework. Michael is physically healthy, and appears able to bond and attach to others easily. He has a good relationship with his foster family. He likes watching the NBA San Antonio Spurs games, and enjoys going on outings with his family. A friendly child, Michael is lacking in some of his social skills. He is working on being more open towards others and their views. Although he is part of a sibling group of four, Michael will be adopted alone. He is learning to cope with being separated from his siblings, but still misses them a lot. He hopes for continued contact with his siblings, as this is important to him. Michael sometimes has trouble coping with his feelings and this can create challenges for adults around him. Michael needs a structured, supervised and supportive family environment, where he can experience a loving, caring family. He needs parents who can teach him the meaning of love and attachment. They need to be patient and willing to work with him and help him through his sadness of being separated from his siblings. He will do best in an active family who can fill his days with activities and give him lots of attention. He needs a consistent routine, which will allow him to adjust faster and easier. He will do best where he is the youngest in the family, with a strong father figure to look up to as a role model.
