Description
Michael is a precious, fun-loving little boy. He is very affectionate and lovable. Michael does have some special medical needs. He is diagnosed with neurofibromitois (yearly monitoring), asthma and mild autism. He is considered legally blind but that does not stop Michael. He gets around well, seeing enough to be able to identify most people and objects. Michael receives special services at school and this will be needed throughout his school years. He also participates in speech therapy. He has learned to use his words instead of his fingers. He does like to carry very small objects in his hands, such as marbles, pieces of paper, etc. Michael will sometimes pick up belongings of others to maintain his tactile stimulation. Michael likes to play by himself but will also play with others, as long as they do not tease him by taking his hand objects. Michael really likes to be held and cuddled. Michael needs a family who will just love him and care for him into adulthood. He needs a family who is able to take care of his special needs, including numerous doctor and therapy appointments throughout his life. Michael needs a family who will encourage him to be all he can be, a family to promote his strengths and work on his needs. A family that will celebrate every milestone and applaud every accomplishment.
