Michael is a very happy boy who enjoys the company of others. Michael is outgoing and enjoys participating in movie outings, swimming, and playing basketball. He likes playing with his Gameboy and will carry it everywhere in order to keep himself busy. Michael also enjoys watching TV and tends to enjoy the daily news more than any other show. He likes a variety of foods to include pizza, burgers, and tacos. Michael is eager to please and puts forth effort in completing tasks whether they are related to school or home, such as chores and other tasks. He is on target academically and developmentally. Michael mentions that he has friends at school that he enjoys spending his time with. He gets along with all of his peers. Like many children his age, Michael is not too thrilled to attend school but puts forth the effort to succeed in all of his classes. Michael rarely gets into trouble, but when he does, he accepts correction and redirection well and is able to reflect on the situation in order to do things better or differently the next time. Michael craves individualized attention from his caregiver. His adoptive family will need to be able to help Michael with his self esteem through positive encouragement. A family who is very patient and who can teach him how special he is will be of great benefit to Michael's positive growth and development. Michael has said that he prefers to be the only child in the home or in a home where there are older youth. He wants a home that will allow him to maintain contact with his siblings.
