Michael is a 13-year-old boy from Tennessee who is hoping to be adopted.
Michael is a friendly young man. He enjoys playing video games! Car racing is his favorite. He would like a Mom and a Dad. He would like to live in a city. He likes school, but due to past moves he has trouble with his school work. Michael has a medical condition that causes him to have seizures at night. He takes medication for this and is seeing a doctor. Michael also takes medication for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. He is a pleasant enjoyable kid, who needs an understanding family. Michael’s foster parents say that he is a good boy. He plays well with the other children in the foster home, who are older than Michael. Michael’s case manager says that Michael is pleasant and easy to get to know. He can be quiet and may take a while to get to know. Michael would do well in a two parent family with no other siblings or older siblings. His family must be willing to continue counseling for Michael and participate with him. Michael needs continued medication management. He also would benefit from a strong male influence, to be active with him and to teach him more about family. Family qualities that would benefit Michael are flexibility, understanding, willingness to work with helping professionals, acceptance of Michael as he is and strong family network.Disclaimer
