Michael is a very sweet and loveable kid, he loves a lot of attention and loves to give and receive hugs. Michael enjoys watching television and dancing. He is very easygoing. Michael interacts well with any age group of children. Michael becomes upset when he is unable to watch television. If Michael is allowed to watch television in the morning before school, it becomes very difficult to separate him from the television when it is time to go to school. Michael learns at a slower pace then other children in his class. He is non-verbal; therefore, he communicates by way of grunting and pointing. He is currently receiving speech therapy. Michael would do well with a family that has a lot of patience and time. A family that is willing to have a life long commitment to a child with special needs. It would be helpful if the family is familiar with sign language and is knowledgeable of the resources in their area for a child with special needs.
