Mike is a 14-year-old boy from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.

Mike is a bright and cheerful boy with a contagious smile and an inquisitive nature. He has demonstrated a great deal of creativity in his comic book art, drawing and painting, and putting together and detailing model cars. Mike also enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, basketball, and baseball. He really enjoys working with the farm animals at his respite home. Mike has always earned very good grades and should continue to do so after moving into Middle School this year. With the structure and schedule of completing homework at his current home, Mike has improved enough to have been on the A/B honor roll all but one grading period this past school year. His teachers have all said he is a joy to have in their class. A family for Mike must be supportive, patient, and understanding. He has requested a two-parent family who have some of the same interests he has, especially being active outdoors. Mike's respite parents have been a huge asset to his success and he will do well with the same structure, stability, consistency, and clear and fair consequences. Mike would like to go to college and his adoptive family should encourage his continued academic progress and success.
