She posses good intellectual ability and is engaging. Monique really likes to go to school and loves to read and learn. She does well in reading and language arts. Math has been challenging for Monique so she will need some extra help in that area. Monique is doing a good job on making an effort to control her emotions. She is practicing catching herself when she gets upset and goes to calm down on her own. Monique sometimes struggles with being bossy with her little sister but responds will to redirection and reminders. She is making progress in this area. Monique is working to overcome past issues, developing good self esteem, and good coping skills. She responds well to praise and encouragement. Monique's intellectual abilities are an asset that will enable her to develop to her full potential.
Monique and Eve are siblings who are inseparable. Regardless of the age difference the siblings have a strong bond. Both need a loving and protective home that will provide social and learning activities in a group, outdoor or sports setting. Monique is the big sister for Eve who loves to follow and be around her big sister. Monique is very caring and protective of Eve. Monique enjoys playing her clarinet and likes to socialize. Although Monique struggles with Math she is a good student and loves academics. Her favorite pastime and subjects are to journal, read, write and she is interested in playing sports. Monique proudly expresses that she is a Christian. Eve gets excited when she sees Monique and will not leave her side. Eve attends daycare and has been placed in the Advance Class because she is doing well in speech and comprehension. Eve likes to eat Rice Krispy Cakes, color and draw pictures for her friends. Other pastimes include watching television and playing outdoors. Eve is very talkative and bonds very easily with everyone. Monique wants to be adopted with Eve, her little sister. The family for Monique and Eve, needs to provide them with a lot of nurturing and love to assure them they are wanted and loved. The family needs to have patience and a lot of time to spend on-on-one time with each child. Clear rules and expectations need to be established in the beginning. It is important to manage the children's behaviors very consistently with a marked emphasis on reinforcing appropriate and positive behaviors. The parents need to be active and provide opportunities for the children to be involved in extracurricular activities.
