Nathan is a 17-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Nathan likes sports and outdoor activities. Nathan really enjoys watching sports on tv, like the NBA playoffs. His favorite basketball team is the Cavaliers. Hiking, fishing, camping and swimming are some of his favorite activities. He also likes to play baseball, soccer and basketball and is very competitive. People who know Nathan describe him as "all boy". He is also a "rock hound" and loves to go rock hunting. Nathan is doing well in school he is passing all his classes. He mentioned that he has many friends and enjoys playing sports with them. Nathan would like to have a dog. He thinks they're nice and fun to play with. He considers himself to be a quiet person, although he can be rambunctious around kids his age. Nathan is doing well in school. Math, Science and Social Studies are the most difficult subjects for him. He thinks he does best in P.E. Nathan would like to be a police officer when he is older. His favorite foods are tortillas with cheese, hamburgers and pizza. He is taking a cooking class at school and is learning to cook. An adoptive family for Nathan will need to be able to provide structure and set limits. He will need a family who makes a strong and permanent commitment to him and who will see him through the many challenges of the teen years. Nathan needs a family who is able to teach appropriate social and coping skills and give him positive feedback for his accomplishments.
