Nathaniel is a 9-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Nathan is a very affectionate child who likes to give hugs and receive them! He needs a little more encouragement, particularly at school, than most. He is a bright child, but needs guidance and prompting to motivate him to complete his assignments and work cooperatively with his teacher. He has shown improvements this school year in his ability to complete his work and follow directions. Nathan is a smart boy who enjoys working on computers and drawing. Nathan has shown great interest in playing and having fun and really likes arcade games. He also displays a real talent for creating songs and making his caregivers laugh. Nathan needs leadership to help him develop his ability to resolve conflicts that arise with other children, but he has shown a lot of improvement in the last few months. He seems to be maturing and wants to please others. He needs a family that will commit to him and that can work closely with the school and other professionals to ensure that Nathaniel is making progress. He will benefit from a stable, experienced family with a good support system. Visit me at the Heart Gallery of the South Plains.

Nathan will benefit from a family that has a good support system of friends, professionals, and family members. The ideal family will be experienced, patient, and allow Nathan to adjust to the family at his own pace while supporting him. It would be very favorable if the family has had adoption experience or foster care experience. Nathan needs a family that is willing to participate or keep him active in services he needs. Most of all, Nathan needs a family that will committ to him and provide him with love, stability, and patience.
