Nicholas (Nick), born in February 1994 is a friendly, engaging boy. Nick has been in foster care since the age of six and is hoping for a forever family where he can grow and belong. Nick has a great sense of humor and is outgoing with he is with adults. He enjoys being with people and would benefit from a family that could provide modeling good social skills for him. Nick tends to be quiet, but is also willing to try new things. His current foster family reported that he belonged to the ski club last year and he loved it. He participated in the hiking club and joined the baseball team. Although he didn’t get much playing time, Nick attended every game and continued to cheer his team on. Nick enjoys camping and especially enjoys his time at a two week overnight camp where he reports he likes to swim. He has attended this camp for the past two years. Nick receives special education supports and like most boys his age, will need reminders and prompts to complete his homework each night. At home, Nick likes to watch TV, play video games or go on the computer. Above all else, Nick loves to read and would spend hours laying on his bed, reading a good book. Nick wants families to know he is a thoughtful, caring boy who likes to please others. He describes himself as a “nice, friendly kid”. Nick would like to be an only child. He has two older biological siblings that he would like to maintain contact with. Nick will make a wonderful addition to the right family.
