Description
Noelia’s wonderful, big bright smile grabs everyone’s heart when they see her. She loves to get hugs and gives affection easily, and her foster mom says Noelia is a very good and sweet child. She interacts well with her foster family and loves being tucked in at night. Noelia is fed mostly through a tube, although she can eat some by mouth if she wants. She appears to understand a lot of what is said to her, but is unable to communicate more than about ten words. Noelia has limited control over her arms, legs, and head, but she is able to scoot across the floor while lying on her back. She loves attending church and Sunday school with her foster family and is always well-behaved.
Noelia attends special resource classes at school where she loves to watch the other children and laughs when they play or talk with her. She receives physical and occupational therapy at school and her foster parents perform regular exercises with her at home. Noelia requires total care and will for the rest of her life.
An adoptive family for Noelia should have some medical background. They must understand that she cannot assist in her basic care at all. Noelia has been in the same foster home since entering foster care, although she has had several respite visits with other families and they have gone extremely well.
